I believe that children are like scientists, who approach the world in unique and scientific ways. They arrive with preconceptions (and sometimes misconceptions) about the way the world works; and through such methods as predicting, experimenting, inference and reflection students gradually transform and adapt their existing knowledge. In this way, children are neither passively awaiting knowledge, nor are they incomplete persons. Children should be honoured for their contributions to a learning environment that invites students to teach as well as be taught, challenges teachers to learn along side students, and involves parents and community members.

I am looking forward to growing with the families here at Robert Rundle this year. Please come by to visit in the classroom, or contact me by email or by phoning the school.

We shall not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time.
